A GALLERY TO LIVE IN

The collection of the First Lady of the Tatras contains more than 500 works that capture the art-historical arc from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The works are not only found in the corridors and in the two halls of the gallery, they are also located directly in the individual rooms. The Lomnica Hotel is rightly labelled "The Gallery to live in". Hotel Lomnica together with the gallery, in cooperation with the Regional Monuments Office in Prešov, has been registered as a place of exceptional cultural and natural significance.

EXHIBITIONS AND EXPOSITIONS

Dominik Skutecký' s permanent exhibition can be found on the walls of the Mozart Café, while the works of artist Ladislav Medňanský are part of the interior of the Sissi restaurant. In the gallery halls you will find regular exhibitions of Slovak art and see works by many artistic greats. In both the Small and Large Halls you can currently take a look at Orava through the eyes of Maria Medvecka, and in the corridor gallery adjacent to the Mozart Café you will find the current exhibition Slovak Story in Prague.

SLOVAK STORY IN PRAGUE

The current exhibition Slovak Story in Prague is a continuation of the previous exhibition events of the Lomnica Gallery, which explored the authorial and genre forms of Slovak art modernism of the interwar period, as well as its successors from the Galandov circle. Through the most important personalities of our painterly modernism - the classics, the Generation of 1909 and the Generation of 1919 - it captures the developmental profile from the realistic approach to modern directions.
