The quality of the cuisine, the originality of the flavors, the service, the comfort, the atmosphere… These are all carefully noted by the anonymous inspectors of the international guide Gault&Millau, who have once again been tasting, comparing, and evaluating restaurants in Slovakia. They arrived unannounced and, with the keen eye of experts, noted every detail. They take up to 70 criteria into account, and their standards are diverse. This makes the title they awarded to Hotel Lomnica all the more valuable. And it is closely linked to the elegant Sissi Restaurant.

Chef's hats for Sissi

The main restaurant at the Lomnica Hotel has upheld its excellent reputation, and Gault&Millau, one of the world’s leading restaurant guides, has awarded the Sissi restaurant three chef’s hats. Each one reflects exceptional quality and creativity. Simply put, it is a symbol of perfection, behind which lies the utmost professionalism. However, the kitchen team’s 100% effort under the chef’s leadership is not enough. The award is also determined by various other details in the service. Everything must be in perfect harmony. And when Gault&Millau—one of the world’s best guides—ratifies it, that’s a guarantee of top-notch quality!

Patrik Pokrývka, head chef at Restaurant Sissi, has several prestigious awards to his name. He is already known from previous years as Young Talent of the Year and as the winner of the national round of the Bocuse d’Or 2025 Slovakia competition. The Gault&Millau guide highly praised his technical precision, modern approach, seasonal focus, and distinctive local flavors. Simply put, he offers visitors a wonderful experience that is the result of culinary artistry and imaginative design. The prestigious symbol of the chef’s hat is thus both a new source of motivation and a driving force. Finally, Restaurant Sissi’s strong position on the gastronomic map was also confirmed by the Falstaff Awards Slovakia 2026, where it received an award in the form of four gold forks.
