The collection of the First Lady of the Tatras contains more than 500 works that capture the artistic and historical arch from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The works are located not only in the corridors and in the two halls of the gallery, they are also located directly in the individual rooms. Hotel Lomnica thus rightly bears the designation "Gallery in which it is possible to live". In cooperation with the Regional Heritage Authority in Prešov, Hotel Lomnica together with its gallery was listed among the places of exceptional cultural and natural importance.

EXHIBITIONS AND EXPOSITIONS

You may appreciate a permanent exhibition of paintings by Dominik Skutecký displayed on the walls of the Café Mozart, while the works of Ladislav Medňanský are part of the interior of the Sissi Restaurant. In the gallery halls, you will find regular exhibitions of Slovak artists displaying the works by many giants of Slovak art. In the Small and Large Hall you can currently see Orava through the eyes of Mária Medvecká and in the corridor gallery belonging to the Mozart café you will find the current exhibition Slovak Story in Prague.

SLOVAK STORY IN PRAGUE

The current exhibition "Slovak Story in Prague" follows up on the previous exhibition events of the Lomnica Gallery, which in various contexts explored the authorial and genre forms of Slovak art modernism of the interwar period, as well as its successors from the circle of the Galanda family. Through the most important personalities of our painting modernism - the Classics, Generation 1909 and Generation 1919 – it captures the developmental profile from a realistic approach to modern directions.
