Patrik Pokrývka - Head Chef of Hotel Lomnica

Restaurant Sissi is run by Patrik Pokrývka, a chef with international experience from Michelin-starred Nordic restaurants. His creations combine pure flavours, modern techniques and respect for local ingredients that reflect Tatra nature.

Under his leadership, Sissi Restaurant has earned a Gault & Millau rating (15–16.5/20) and, according to Falstaff, ranks among the best restaurants in Slovakia. Every course bears Patrik’s distinctive signature—precision, seasonality, and aesthetics—which transforms dining into an experience.

The harmony of tradition and modern style

We will tempt you with the flavours of the monarchy enriched with local culinary culture. We will treat you to a strong broth, the popular Wiener schnitzel or other fair game or fish dishes. The à la carte menu of the Sissi Restaurant is based on an original concept of dishes. The culinary team works primarily with the seasonality of the ingredients and the geographical aspect, taking inspiration from the diversity of the Slovak countryside.

The precise selection of suppliers, which includes our ViaJur Agricultura farm in Farna, guarantees not only great taste but also high quality. In addition to the culinary art and our gastronomic experience, you will also enjoy seeing the original work of the Hungarian painter Ladislav Medňanský in the restaurant.

Treat yourself to an exceptional start to the day in the elegant surroundings of Hotel Lomnica in the heart of the High Tatras. Every morning we prepare a rich and varied breakfast for you, which can be enjoyed not only by our guests but also by visitors from outside.

Drinks are an important component of our restaurant, elevating and completing the taste experience. Gastronomy complemented by wines with a distinctive terroir will create the perfect fusion of flavours. The à la carte menu includes a recommended wine pairing. Our sommelier will help you with the ideal choice. However, be sure to include wines from our VIAJUR winery in your terroir excursion.

We also think of small gourmets

We have adapted the individual dishes and portions to the smallest and most demanding gourmets. If you are coming with your little ones, count on our children's menu, which includes pasta or baby semolina, for example.

In order to maintain a pleasant and dignified atmosphere in our restaurant, we would like to recommend "smart casual" clothing.
We welcome a variety of personal styles, however, for the benefit of the overall experience, we ask that you avoid heavily athletic clothing such as shorts, tank tops or beach shoes.
For more casual attire, we are happy to offer an alternative in the Mozart area, on the terrace or in the Franz Jozef Lobby Bar, where you can comfortably enjoy your dining experience in a more relaxed atmosphere.
